Fluoride Treatments and Dental Sealants

Stop tooth decay with dental sealants
Dental sealants form an acrylic-like shield that stops bacteria from infecting and damaging the rear teeth. Our expert dentists recommend sealants usually after the age of six when the rear molars are fully formed.
Our team will recommend a sealant depending on how the tooth has developed while it was below the gum line.
After a sealant is placed, it is recommended that your child abstains from hard candy and sticky foods as these can cause the sealants to dislodge. A missing sealant is not likely to be noticed by your child until their next dental visit, potentially increasing their chances of tooth decay.
If your child is complaining about a problem tooth, ask our friendly dentists if sealants are right for your child.
Fast fluoride treatments
Your child will get to pick from over a dozen unique fluoride flavors. We’ll even send home samples of fluoride that they can use every day. A fast, one-minute fluoride wash used in conjunction with regular brushing and flossing will go a long way toward stopping cavities and tooth decay.
Don’t forget to schedule a regular cleaning
Let us help keep your child’s teeth healthy for years to come by scheduling a regular exam and cleaning at the offices of Dr. Amy Kinlaw’s Pediatric Dentistry. Our mission is to discover any trouble spots before they become major problems. We will also help your child develop healthy dental habits by encouraging a healthy regimen of brushing and flossing.
